How Potluck works
Three parts: a giving page people reach by QR code or link, a place where your treasurer sees every gift, and the receipts and statements that go out on their own.
Scan, pick, pay. Thirty seconds.
The giving page opens from a QR code or a link. One decision per screen, nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
- 1Pick a fundYour funds, in your words. A link can open straight to one fund.
- 2Pick an amountPresets you choose, or a custom amount. Cover the fees with one tap. Add a note, or give without a name.
- 3PayApple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay or a card, right on the page. A saved card makes the second gift two taps.
- 4ReceiptAn email receipt arrives within a minute, with a link to their own giving history. One more tap makes it monthly.
Monday morning in one screen
Home shows what came in over the weekend, what's on the way to the bank, and anything that needs a decision. Everything else is one click away.
- 1GiftsEvery gift, online and offline, in one table with gross, fees and net labeled. Filter, open the details, refund if you need to, export to CSV.
- 2Cash and checksA dated count with keyboard-first rows and type-ahead names. Finishing the count posts the totals and sends receipts.
- 3PeopleEach person's history and recurring gifts in one place. Your leaders see totals only, never names.
- 4DepositsGifts grouped by deposit, marked on the way until the money lands, then marked with the date it did.
Statements in an afternoon
One statement per person per year, with the deductible and non-deductible amounts separated. Email first, print the rest, reprint anytime.
- 1Opens January 1Review the year's totals, then send in batches. Nobody gets a statement twice.
- 2Print packLetter-size statements with your name and logo, ready for the mail.
- 3Mid-year receiptsEvery gift already has a receipt, so the statement is a summary, not a surprise.
About 20 minutes, in eight short steps
Your email, your organization's name, your colors and words, your bank through Stripe, the nonprofit rate, your funds, your treasurer, your QR code. Stop at any step and come back by emailed link.
- 1What Stripe asks forYour organization's legal name and tax ID, a bank account, and the name and date of birth of one person responsible for the account. Verification often finishes the same day; sometimes Stripe asks for one more document.
- 2Connect Stripe laterYou can finish setup without it. Giving goes live the moment Stripe verifies the account.
- 3Your wordsCall it a gift, a donation or a contribution. Call them funds, programs or designations. Potluck uses your words everywhere, including receipts and statements.
