Small organizations deserve the same tools big ones get.
Potluck is made by Pay AI, Inc., a small company in Minnesota. We have spent our careers building payment systems for banks and large companies, and we kept noticing who gets left out: the congregation of 80 households, the food shelf run by four volunteers, the youth club with a treasurer who also coaches.
What those organizations get is a choice between software priced for institutions ten times their size and a cash box with a spreadsheet. Receipts go out late or not at all. The year-end statement takes a weekend. Someone's monthly gift stops when a card expires and nobody notices for three months.
Potluck is the tool we would want our own treasurer to have. Free for the things every organization needs, priced plainly for the rest, and built around the person who counts the money on Monday morning.
How we decide what to build
Free for the essentials
Receiving gifts, recording cash and checks, sending receipts and closing the year never cost a monthly fee.
Plain words
Your gift was received. Not a code and a status.
Your money never touches us
Stripe moves it from the giver to your bank. We keep the record.
The treasurer's Monday is the test
If a screen does not make Monday morning shorter, it does not ship.
Why Potluck
A potluck is what small communities already do: everyone brings something, it goes on one table, and there is enough. The software should feel the same.
